Well, thanks for dropping by – it’s good to see you!

I started a business called By Design back in 1993, partly as a play on my name, partly because we were doing things on purpose (as opposed to By Accident), and partly to work the word “design” in, somehow.

Going retro: Through the years we’ve gotten to do a number of cool things & work with amazing designers, webpage makers, writers, photographers, and storytellers in three countries (see the “What we’ve done” bit in the menu above). We ran a well-read newspaper for 15 years, too, and frequently offered workshops & classes.

Progressing ahead: Since early 2013, By Design still offers a set of services, which are detailed in “What we do” above.

I hope to get a chance to hear from you, even if it’s just to say hey – staying in touch with friends & family & working groups & playing groups & study groups & each other – that’s what this is all about, isn’t it?
